trivialaffair. For everything.
Pairing: Pi/Ryo -- tag fic for
trivialaffair
Yamapi can't quite remember when it started, when it stopped being so much "Pi and Jin and Toma and Ryo" and grew into more of "Pi and Jin and Ryo" and then into "Pi and Ryo," but when Ryo settles back into the sofa beside him for one of their overnight movie marathons, Pi think that maybe Ryo was the one he was supposed to be with forever, anyway.
Pairing: KoyaPi -- tag fic for
htenywg
Sometimes Koyama's frantic text messages ("make sure you eat") and late night phone calls ("are you sleeping okay do you need some warm milk make sure you have enough blankets") get on his nerves, but at times like this, when Koyama's hands settle oh-so-gently on his shoulders and Koyama's cool fingers ease out the tension of a long day and Koyama's soft voice hums soothingly in his ear, Yamapi thinks that he's glad to have earned Koyama's love.
Pairing: Pin -- tag fic for
htenywg
Jin and Yamapi think a great deal alike (maybe a little bit too well), so when Jin shows up at Pi's bedroom door with a recently purchased Disney DVD and an expectant look, Pi is already decked out in full pirate regalia and is trying to explain to Pin the rules of parley.
Pairing: Tegoshi/Koyama -- YES I WENT THERE -- tag fic for
silver_rose88
Tegoshi gets away with a lot because he's NewS's baby; what most of the band doesn't realize is that the term "baby" has an entirely different meaning when spilling from the lips of the oldest member of the band in a litany of gasps and endearments as Tegoshi drives him into the mattress.
Pairing: Nino/Ryo -- tag fic for
trivialaffair
Nishikido's whining gets on Nino's nerves only ten minutes into their break, so Nino carefully saves him game, puts down the console, looks the other man in the eye, and says bluntly, "Junnosuke tells me you like to complain about things that aren't from Osaka and things that take up your time and things that are better than you but I don't want to hear it so you'd better get over here and do something useful with that mouth of yours," and prepares for an epic battle of snark, but Ryo surprises him with a smirk and an almost playful, "If I do that, your Tokyo pride will be bruised because you can't ever measure up, and we'll just have to keep competing and comparing and practicing," and suddenly Nino realizes that Ryo might be the best non-Arashi costar he's ever worked with.
Pairing: KoyaShige -- for the massive Koyama-ai Party here
Shige and Koyama were best friends, but what Koyama didn't realize was that he was also Shige's rolemodel; tall, handsome, even more friendly than Tegoshi, just as cheerful as Massu, fully capable of being as sexy as Yamapi, as creative at teasing as Ryo, and the best damn kisser Shige had ever met.
Pairing: KoyaPi -- for the massive Koyama-ai Party here
Some people, like Jin, didn't understand why Yamapi loved Koyama. People not in NewS didn't know the soft smile he wore during quiet moments or the tendency to lightly touch others' backs when they looked like they needed encouragement. They didn't know that Koyama remembered exactly how Ryo liked his bentos arranged, that Tegoshi didn't like peas in his fried rice but wanted them on the side, that Massu had once eaten pineapple until he'd made himself sick and now preferred melon. They didn't know how closely Koyama monitored Shige's schooling, about the kind reminders to sleep and the repeated offers to drive Shige to school on test days and the reward of homemade cookies held out to the door at the very moment Shige would walk into work after one of those tests. But what people like Jin, people not in NewS people who didn't know Koyama, even most people in NewS weren't aware of were the warm cups of tea that would greet Yamapi as he stumbled into his apartment in the tiny hours of the morning after a long day of shooting, the bleating alarms that were turned off and replaced with gentle brow-soothing touches, the warmth of the thin body and the strength of those slim arms as they wrapped around Yamapi's shoulders, the soft silk of Koyama's hair against Pi's cheek as Koyama slumbered tucked against him on the couch.
Pairing: Juniors -> Koyama -> NewS -> Koyama -> Juniors -- for the massive Koyama-ai Party here
Koyama's birthday is nearing and the Juniors are running out of ideas. As one of the only two people in the company who offer nothing but support and encouragement despite mishaps and failures and mistakes and torn costumes and sore throats and sprained ankles and bullying at school and ever-shifting alliances within groups, Koyama is Entitled To A Wonderful Birthday Surprise.
Then one day, as the Juniors crowd around a television to watch a taped episode of Hey!Hey!Hey! and study the fine art of guesting on music and talk shows, inspiration strikes. The juniors immediately divide themselves into groups, select targets, and dash off into the maze-like hallways of the JE building in search of their prey.
It takes two days for some of them to even drum up the courage to begin preparations, but they manage.
When Koyama's birthday dawns, he wakes to find an envelope slipped under the door of his apartment.
Happy Birthday, Koyama-senpai! the note reads. We tried hard to think of something to get you but couldn't come up with anything. Instead, please have dinner with us tonight after your Shokura planning meeting! Our treat! The name of a popular restaurant and a time are given.
The Juniors await Koyama's arrival breathlessly. This has less to do with excitement than the fact that they're huddled into a large pile of bodies trying to peer unobtrusively around the foliage shielding their booths from the rest of the restaurant, and the ones on top are slowly squishing the air out of the others.
When Koyama walks through the door of the restaurant and is greeted by the sight of NewS seated around a large table smack in the center of the room, he bursts into delighted tears. The Juniors can hear him babbling happy greetings to his bandmates even though he'd left them only an hour and a half earlier.
In his seat, Yamapi holds up a victory sign behind his back, where the Juniors can see it. Tegoshi, giving the bright laugh for which he is famous, flashes his huge grin directly at the group of younger boys. Ryo snorts and tells Koyama to shut up, Shige calmly pulls out Koyama's chair, and Massu beams at the world in general. Koyama giggles and smiles and cries and announces that he couldn't ask for more.
It's official, the Juniors congratulate themselves. The chance to spend time with NewS outside of work this year really was the best birthday present for Koyama. It would be the best present he ever got, probably, because no one was going to ask Nishikido to spare some time ever again.
Pairing: Koyama/jobs -- for the massive Koyama-ai Party here
Koyama loved being an idol, loved the performing and the exertion and the teamwork and the fans, and he wouldn't give up his job for anything, but sometimes when he has a free day and decides to stay at home and help out in the ramen shop, with his mother beaming so proudly and his cousin whistling and various family members calling throughout the day and customers chatting and laughing and enjoying their food, he thinks that maybe if he were forced to stop being an idol he would be nearly as happy to spend the rest of his life as a waiter in a noodle shop.

Hee! I have discovered that Ryo might be the most fun person in the world to write. I don't know how I'm going to find time to watch their drama this fall, but the very thought of their backstage antics has me desperate for Making Of specials and even an entire series to run parallel to the show. Waaaaaaant!
Thanks so much for this comment, it makes my day!! :D
